In Northern Chile, strange remains were found in a Spanish mine thought to be that of a mummified alien that had landed in the area. The native Aymara tribe have been seeing lights and strange creatures deep into their history, and have experienced things in ancient mines, tunnels, and in their night sky.
There have been many tales of UFOs and aliens in the area, with strange lights in the sky being such a common occurrence that even the Chilean government sometimes comments on them. Mummies are also a common thing in this region due to just how desolate and impossibly dry it is, leaving the level of preservation to be intensive.
Chilean Sculptor Juan Diaz Fleming even created an otherworldly larger than life representation of the Aymara peoples’ symbols that makes the region in the Atacomba seem even more alien-like called ‘Tutelar Figures’, not far off from geoglyphs that are equally as otherworldly akin to the Nazca lines of Peru yet just over 500 miles away.
Sadly, the alien mummy turned out to be the mummy of an infant, the elongated head from cranial bones that had not yet fused, as well as other cartilaginous tissues that had not yet become bone. However, this does not explain all the other strange things that are seen out here in the desert. Adventure at your own risk– and don’t forget to bring extra water.
WARNING: Images below (as well as within) the following links include a photograph of the mummified infant. While not graphic, this may disturb some viewers; proceed at your own risk.
